Why did I get into drifting?: I got into it when I got an AE86… I was using the car for autocross, and realized that you could drift the car through the course! It got to the point where I would go out and kill all the cones in the parking lot, and the “old balls” running the events would kick me out for “sliding”. Around that time Kendrick was bringing drifting to Canada, and I watched the Signal auto team destroy a small parking lot, and was hooked ever since! My eyes really opened when I saw drifting for the first time at St.Eustache in 2005, after that weekend, I knew I had to do it!!

Why did I get into drifting?: It all started when I first got my license, pulling the e brake in my mom’s fwd car in the winter time. Ever since then I’ve been hooked. Nothing beats the feeling of entering a corner sideways, Pushing yourself and your skills to the limit as you try different things. It’s a rush that nothing can top.

Why did I get into drifting?: Drifting really came out of left field for me. I was given a 1981 Monte Carlo, and needed a winter beater so I picked up a 240sx. I fell in love with the car instantly. I went out “fish tailing” later, and was just rolling around the internet and came across drifting videos. I then found out about the classic SR20DET, I did that swap up and here I am now.

Why did I get into drifting?: Ummm, straight up for me it was a Drift Free Friday at Kawartha Downs ((Or was it Flamborough? I don’t friggen remember)), anyway, I had been doing a lot of work with cameras and editing in school, so I figured I’d tag along with my brother and bring a camera and see if I couldn’t make a little video of the day. Since then, I became addicted to the smell of rubber smoke and the sound of strung out cars screaming around the track sideways. Yes, addicted. And it will never stop.

Why did I get into drifting?: Nothing gives you the same feeling of freedom as this motorsport. You can use a style of your own which is rare in racing. Also rules allow for you to make your car the way you want it. I love to beat on cars!
